An endless belt conveyor device is extensible and collapsible on being unwound from, or wound on to, a drum (22). Its endless belt (7), driven from its free unwound end is carried between two lateral frames which are collapsible for winding on the drum. Each frame comprises, when extended, an upper chord (1) and a lower chord (2). The upper chord (1) comprises sections (8) linked to pivot about axes (9). Cranked rods are connected to the upper chord sections. As the upper chord sections are aligned these rods bring linked sections into alignment to constitute the lower chord (2). The winding drum may be supported on a wheeled chassis to render the device mobile. <IMAGE>
